Music and Beyond requested extra singers for the performance of Handel's Oratorio The Triumph of Time and Truth from a few Ottawa area choirs including the Kanata Choral Society. The performance took place on July 8 in St. Joseph's Church with Matthias Maute - conductor, Shannon Mercer, Myriam LeBlanc, Maude Côté-Gendron, Nils Brown, Geoffroy Salvas as soloists; Ensemble vocal arts-Québec - choir and Ensemble Caprice - orchestra. Five members of the Kanata Choral Society performed at this concert. The concert ended with a standing ovation.

Joan Sibley a founding member of the Kanata Choral Society moved to the Orchard View Living Centre in Greely. They have a program called the living wish for new residents. It was Joan's wish to sing with the Kanata Choral Society in front of her new neighbors. Orchard View invited the Kanata Choral Society to sing with Joan and on March 10 the choir visited Joan in Greely and sang with her. The Kanata-Carleton Cultural Festival was held as part of the Canada 150 celebrations. Many cultural organizations in Kanata/Carleton participated in the day long festival. The Kanata Choral Society participated in the evening performance. Below is a picture taken by Mike Nijenhuis during the event
